Selecting a Wig Colour
When first selecting a wig colour we suggest a colour close to your own. We recommend customers take advantage of our free online/in-store consultation with our hair experts to help select the best colour match. If you require our help, we suggest you – send a swatch, send us pictures. If you are an experienced wig wearer you can provide us with the wig colour and brand you have so we can crossmatch it with our own stock. Alternatively you can browse our collection of wigs and make your colour selection from the range we have available.
Send us a hair swatch
If you are unable to come in for a consultation you can send us your hair swatch so we can send it to our suppliers for an accurate match for colour and texture.
During your online consultation we can discuss whether you want to send in a sample of hair for accurate hair selection. To prepare your hair you need to:
- Cut approximately 5 cm length of hair by 1cm width (if you can spare more it will be more beneficial)Ensure the swatch is from an area of hair you wish to match
- Tape your hair swatch to a piece of plain white paper & put it into a Ziploc bag
- Put your details: name, number, email, and any other order details as discussed
- We will provide you with a postal address for your hair swatch and inform you as soon as we receive it
Send us a picture
If you want to send pictures of hair colours that you like, we are able to help you choose the best colour – multiple pictures are better than a single image. It is preferable for us to receive hair swatches, however if you are unable to send swatches due to excessive hair loss then this is a great option. Please email your images to [email protected] with your name, contact number, and a brief description of what you want in the message.
At The Australian Wig Company any purchase of our custom wigs comes with one standard colour of any shade of your choosing. If you are after multi-tones for your wig additional charges apply.
